My Music Mix

Friday 2pm-4pm

My Music Mix, every Friday between 2:00 and 4:00 pm reflects my particular take on the music scene.  There really is something for everyone - well almost.  Country, Blues, Pop, Folk, Bluegrass, Rock 'n Roll, and everything in between.  There will be names you know and love mixed in with those you don't know, but may come to love.  I'll be there.  I hope you'll join me.

I have lived in Reading for most of his life. Most of my schooling was in Reading, and I played is several local bands during the 60’s. I started by band Tudor Lodge in 1968 and I am often amazed that it’s still going.

I got involved in Radio in 2006 when Eddie formed Reading Community Radio, now operating as Reading4u, and recruited me as a willing volunteer to be the treasurer.

Later, he asked me to join him co-hosting a program he had on the Reading College student station, Blast FM. Initially I was absolutely terrified, but grew to love it.  Now I put that experience to good use on my Friday afternoon program “My Music Mix”. I had never been involved in either Radio or Community work before, so community radio combined two sets of knowledge I didn’t have.

Reading is a fascinating town with an incredibly diverse mix of peoples, cultures, and as we embrace this variety we have the opportunity of helping to make Reading an example of harmonious living and understanding. I look forward to the day when Reading4u is genuinely THE voice of the people of Reading.
